About
A Space for Practice, Learning and Deeper Connection
Located in Nam Phrae, Hang Dong, just south of Chiang Mai, Sacred Grounds CNX brings together a garden café, a yoga and practice space, and a programme of workshops and community events.
We created Sacred Grounds as a place where people can meet, learn, practise and explore. You might come for a coffee, join a yoga class, study traditional spiritual teachings, take part in a personal development workshop or simply spend some time in like-minded company.
What connects these different activities is a shared interest in living with greater awareness, understanding ourselves more deeply and building deeper relationships with self and others.
Traditional Practice and Personal Development
At Sacred Grounds, we bring together two complementary areas of personal work, each with its own approach. Both offer opportunities for learning, exploration and a more conscious relationship with self and life.
Traditional Spiritual Practice
We offer yoga, meditation, mantra and the study of traditional spiritual practices from the Trika Śaiva tradition.
Personal Development
Our workshops explore self-awareness, emotional patterns, communication, vulnerability and deeper connection.
The People Behind Sacred Grounds
Sacred Grounds is shaped it’s founders and team who bring their dedication, knowledge and experience to the space.
Gonçalo Luz, co-founder of Sacred Grounds, is a yoga teacher, retreat leader and facilitator of men's work and personal development workshops. His work brings together traditional Hatha Yoga, contemplative practice and experiential approaches to self-inquiry and deeper connection.
More Than a Café
The garden café is an important part of Sacred Grounds. It offers a relaxed setting to enjoy good coffee, meet friends and spend time away from the demands of everyday life.
It is also an invitation to discover what else happens here: yoga classes, meditation, workshops, men's circles and gatherings that bring people together around shared interests.
You don't need to arrive with a particular background, belief system or level of experience. Curiosity is a good place to start.
Come for the coffee. Explore what else is here.
